Normal Delivery
What is Normal Delivery?
Normal delivery refers to the natural process of childbirth through the vaginal canal without surgical intervention. Vacuum-assisted delivery may be used when necessary—such as when labor is prolonged or pushing is difficult. A soft suction cup is placed on the baby’s head to help guide the baby out safely.
When is it Recommended?
- When the pregnancy is low-risk
- When the baby is in the right position
- Vacuum is used if the mother is too exhausted or pushing is ineffective
Benefits:
- Faster recovery than cesarean
- Promotes natural hormonal balance
- Lower infection risk
- Immediate skin-to-skin bonding
Is it Safe?
Yes. Under expert guidance, both normal and vacuum-assisted deliveries are safe for mother and child.
Risks and Side Effects:
- Mild perineal discomfort
- Temporary scalp swelling (in vacuum delivery)
