Throughout his career, he has gained in-depth knowledge and refined expertise in joint preservation and replacement techniques.
He has international clinical experience, having worked for 3 years in the NHS system in the UK, at reputed hospitals such as Royal Free Hospital, London, Chase Farm Hospital, London, and Tameside Hospital, Greater Manchester. During this period, he performed numerous joint replacement and arthroscopic surgeries and became well-versed in the latest advancements and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Pawar has actively contributed to the academic domain by presenting and publishing several research papers at both national and international platforms.
He is currently practicing as a Hip and Knee Joint Replacement and Arthroscopy Consultant in Pune. He is the Director and Consultant Hip & Knee Surgeon at Pawar Multispeciality Hospital and Spire Hospital.

Dr. Gaurav Pawar completed his M.B.B.S. and M.S. Orthopaedics at Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College & General Hospital, Pune, where he also served as a Senior Resident. His quest for excellence led him to the UK, where he earned his MCh in Hip & Knee Surgery from Edge Hill University and underwent advanced training as an MCh Trainee in Orthopaedics at Tameside Hospital, Greater Manchester. He also served as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Royal Free London Hospital, where he specialized in hip and knee surgeries.
Dr. Gaurav Pawar has performed over 200 independent surgeries, ranging from trauma and arthroplasty to complex arthroscopic procedures. His expertise covers a wide spectrum of orthopaedic surgeries, including open reduction and internal fixation, diagnostic arthroscopy of knees, arthroscopic meniscectomies, primary total hip replacement (THR), and total knee replacement (TKR). He is also proficient in complex knee and shoulder surgeries, including ACL and PCL reconstructions, arthroscopic cuff repairs, and revision joint replacements.
He is not only a skilled surgeon but also a committed researcher. He has presented papers at various prestigious conferences, such as the Maharashtra Orthopaedic Association Conference (MOACON) and the Pune Orthopaedic Society (POSAC).
